Egyptic
Egyptic is inspired by Egyptian revival during the 20th century, respectfully borrowing from aspects of Egyptian artifacts and symbols, the many Cleopatra films, and the Mata-Hari era of fantastical orientalism and glamorous interpretations of Egyptian history.

Motifs
The letterforms borrow from many typical shapes seen not only in real egyptian artifacts and places, but also the movies and art that is based on them. As a result, there is a feeling of both authenticity and hyperfantasy reflected in the shapes.

Alternates
Since the influences of both Alexander the Great and the Roman Empire were great, especially in the cinematic recreations Egypt's history, it was necessary to represent both the classical Roman influence and the pure Egyptian influence in the letterforms. This increases the versatility of the typeface and allows for more unique combinations.

Ligatures
Some of the letterforms require a helping hand to play together nicely. This affords an oppurtunity to create special instances and assist in making each word that much more unique.
